This distinguished honour is awarded in recognition of her services to business and her longstanding commitment to strengthening the economic prosperity of Buckinghamshire and supporting its business community.

The MBE recognises Philippa’s leadership in championing small and medium sized enterprises, fostering collaboration across the public and private sectors, and driving inclusive economic growth across the region. Under her stewardship, Buckinghamshire Business First has grown into a nationally recognised Growth Hub, supporting thousands of businesses each year through advice, funding, training, and opportunities to innovate and scale.

Philippa Batting’s leadership has been instrumental in bringing partners together, securing national recognition for the area’s strengths, and ensuring business support remains responsive, accessible, and impactful.

The honorary MBE will be formally presented to Philippa Batting at an investiture ceremony later this year.
