What does it mean to the University of Buckingham to be involved with the Buckinghamshire Business Awards?

"We are incredibly proud to be sponsoring these particular awards as we champion enterprise and entrepreneurship in all its forms at the University of Buckingham. We hope by being part of these awards we will strengthen our ties with businesses from across Buckinghamshire - the beating heart of entrepreneurship within the UK."

Why did you want to sponsor the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category in particular?

"This award category is all about celebrating the success of those who dared to start and run their own business. This is no small feat, and one we understand very well at the university where we run degrees which teach young people to think and act in an entrepreneurial way. We want to support as many entrepreneurs as we can. This seemed like the perfect opportunity."

How important is it to support and recognise the achievements of our younger entrepreneurs?

"We have to champion all entrepreneurs for the incredible work they do to innovate, disrupt and support our economy. Our young entrepreneurs represent the future prosperity of our country."

How passionate is the University of Buckingham about supporting entrepreneurship?

"Entrepreneurship is deeply engrained within our culture. We are entrepreneurial in everything we do. We are the first independent university with a Royal Charter, the first university to run two-year degrees, and the first private university to open a medical school. We believe in entrepreneurial thinking, in an enterprising mindset, and that entrepreneurship is vital for the future prosperity of the UK."
