Businesses - here are your opportunities to work with charities

If you are looking for a charity to support, fundraise for, partner with or lend a hand to, you are in luck, given the following requests.

Child Bereavement UK

Fundraise for Child Bereavement UK (CBUK) and conquer the highest free-standing mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro. The Kili Challenge is designed to give you the best chance of reaching the summit safely. CBUK will provide a carefully selected menu, highly experienced and qualified guides, and an itinerary that follows the principles of "walk high, sleep low" to allow for proper acclimatisation.

The challenge takes place from June 2nd-11th 2017. For more information visit www.kilichallenge.org.uk and use the hashtag #KiliChallenge on Twitter.

Community Impact Bucks

The annual Community Impact Bucks conference is here again, exploring the theme of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and how charities and businesses can benefit from working together.

With the challenges that both sectors face in this changing world, this is an excellent opportunity for like-minded people from both businesses and the voluntary sector to meet and learn about current CSR models and practices. As well as presentations from leading figures in the corporate and charity sectors, there is the chance to participate in workshops centring around real concerns at a practical and local level. This is an opportunity not to be missed!

There are also partnering opportunities for businesses who wish to get further involved with the event which can be found here.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity

Do you have parking space available in the Aston Clinton area on weekends? If so, give Florence Nightingale Hospice’s Colour Rush event on October 9th a helping hand by letting the charity use your parking areas as a Park and Ride service on the day. This will help ease traffic and parking congestion in the area, as well as ensure as any people as possible can attend the event. If you have parking space to offer, email MichelleMerrison@fnhospice.org.uk.

Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity - beer festival sponsorship

Each year, Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity runs the Aylesbury Vale Beer Festival, with all profits going to help run the Florence Nightingale Hospice at Stoke Mandeville. A key element to the success of the event is working with local businesses and organisations, who are invited to sponsor a beer barrel. The event will take place at the Bucks CC Sports and Social Club in Stoke Mandeville on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October.

The annual charity Beer Festival has become one of the most important events in the Florence Nightingale fundraising calendar. In order for it to be a success, they are looking for local companies and individuals to sponsor the beer barrels at a cost of £110 per barrel.

The sponsorship package includes:

  • Half page advertisement in the festival programme
  • Name/Company name on beer barrel and in tasting notes
  • Two complimentary Festival tickets
  • Two free pints
  • Publicity through the Charity Facebook page, other social media accounts, website and local press

If you are interested in sponsoring, email emmacarroll@fnhospice.org.uk.
