Possible £7,500 of free advertising with Google AdWords

Utilising Google AdWords can provide charities with the advertising boost they need, as Jim Raymond of Second-Person, who use Google Analytics to provide charities and businesses with evidence based analysis and marketing support, explains:

“With Google AdWords you can access vital data on what people search for and what you should be writing about on your website and in your marketing. You will find that by investing a little time and money each month, you will attract completely new audiences.

“The real beauty of Adwords for charities is that Google provides registered charities with a $10,000 (roughly £7,500) a month grant of in-kind advertising. If you haven’t signed up for a Google grant then you are turning away $120,000 every year! What’s great about Adwords, as well as being free to use, is that there is a free online Google Academy to learn how to use it. I’ve completed this course and it is a very effective learning tool. Definitely the place to start if you want to DIY your digital marketing.”

Bid Funding Workshops

CML Consultants, who offer expertise to not-for-profits, are running a series of workshops to support those bidding for funding. There is an ‘Introduction to Bid Writing Workshop’, ‘Advanced Bid Writing Workshop’ and a ‘Reporting Back to Funders Workshop’, all designed to give you practical information about what you would need to do in order to succeed in getting funding and what to do once you’ve been successful. Get more information on the workshops, including when and where they are and how much they cost.
