B P Collins becomes first law firm in the country to achieve a CSR Accreditation

Gerrards Cross law firm B P Collins has become the first law firm in the UK to receive recognition for its commitment to corporate social responsibility. Their CSR Accreditation is apt, given the accreditation system was created in Buckinghamshire.

The firm had to show its support for the environment, local community and its employees and provide evidence of its commitment to philanthropic work. Its work with the Heart of Bucks and SportsAid charities, its support for local schools and its commitment to improving the wellbeing of its employees really stood out to the judging panel.

Simon Deans, B P Collins’ senior partner, comments, "It is fantastic that the firm has joined the UK's leading companies in attaining a mark of excellence nationally for our commitment to our corporate social responsibility. We are a proud Buckinghamshire law firm with deep roots in the community and care for the environment. This recognition further helps us strive towards running a more sustainable and ethical business."

Richard Collins, CSR Accreditation, said: “For companies, the overall aim is to achieve a positive impact on society as a whole whilst creating shared values for the owners of the business, its employees and stakeholders. B P Collins has achieved precisely that. Well done.”

The University’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Rebecca Bunting signed the Fossil Fuel Declaration for universities with no investments in the fossil fuel sector to confirm their fossil free status and their intention to remain so.

New digital coaching tool from Bigrock

Local training experts Bigrock have launched their new digital coaching tool: Coachical. This new online learning platform gives local businesses and professionals the chance to broaden their knowledge and enhance their skills in key business areas like leadership, sales and negotiation.

For each topic covered, Coachical recreates the experience of working with a first class coach, digitally. Learners select a virtual coach from one of four ‘robo-coaches' who each have a different communication style and personality.

Client Director, Jon Luckett, explains: “Key here is that these virtual coaches behave just like a real coach. They know what excellence is. They understand how and where the learner can improve. They then direct the learner to the most relevant learning tools and solutions and help the learner work through their coaching plan.”
