Female entrepreneurs are the focus on Mix96

This week’s Buckinghamshire Business First radio show on Mix96 welcomed two female entrepreneurs, Rosie Axon and Shafeen Khan, to discuss what drives them to do what they do.

Rosie Axon, Chiltern Music Therapy

Rosie Axon used her musical skills to set up Chiltern Music Therapy, which supports a wide range of people in the local community and further afield. These people could be old or young, with mental health difficulties, life limiting conditions, brain injuries, learning difficulties, autism, or other conditions, but Chiltern Music Therapy supports them all through the power of music.

Rosie spoke to Max Hailey about how she got into doing what she does, why she does it and the support she’s had along the way.

Shafeen Khan, The Prayer Mat Company

Shafeen Khan founded The Prayer Mat Company after spotting an opportunity to do what no one else in the country does: design and produce prayer mats, both for the home and the workplace.

Shafeen explained to Max what she was doing before founding her company, why she made the plunge to go into business by herself, how business is going and her thoughts on living and doing business in Buckinghamshire.
