Celebrating 25 Years Of PCL Corporatewear

The team at PCL Corporatewear are celebrating 25 years in the business of providing companies with premium business uniforms, workwear and promotional clothing. Their UK and international client base includes Stobart Group, Wembley Stadium, City of London Corporation, Heathrow Airport, ZSL London Zoo, Rolls Royce Motor Cars and many other prestigious names.

Located on Pitstone Business Park, near Tring, the business was a “kitchen table start-up” founded in 1994 by Managing Director Jane Campbell.

Speaking on behalf of the company, Jane said, “I am so thrilled to have been in this exciting business for 25 years and to have watched PCL Corporatewear evolve, strengthen and grow. It was initially set up to facilitate flexible working around my young children, who have now joined the company, so we are moving on to the second generation. Here’s to the next 25 years!”

High Wycombe entrepreneur receives #Wow Award from Jacqueline Gold CBE

In May, Nicole Martin of Pinpoint Marketing was recognised by British businesswoman Jacqueline Gold CBE for her success as a female entrepreneur, and awarded with a prestigious #WOW badge.

Pinpoint Marketing was one of three winners selected by Jacqueline after she entered ‘Women on Wednesday’ – a competition launched by Jacqueline in 2011 to celebrate the growing number of UK female entrepreneurs and businesswomen.

BBF Growth Champion announced as IoD London & South Director Of The Year Awards Finalist

James Hakesley, CEO & Co-Founder of Cube Video, has been shortlisted for the IoD London & South Director of the Year Awards in the Start-Up category. James is a Growth Champion for Buckinghamshire Business First as well as being an active member and familiar face in the Buckinghamshire community.

Cube Video are a video, animation and photography company based in Buckinghamshire and this is a fantastic nomination to add to their ever-growing collection of awards and nominations.

James said: “I am delighted to be a finalist at the prestigious IoD Awards, this is a fantastic testament to the continued hard work of the Cube Video team. I’m looking forward to the awards ceremony and meeting all the other nominees.”

The finalists were chosen from the hundreds of directors that entered or were nominated across nine different categories. The expert judging panel will decide the overall winners to be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday June 20th at the iconic 116 Pall Mall, the home of the Institute of Directors.

Mary Nightingale, newsreader and television presenter, will host the ceremony alongside the wonderful Roger Tilling, best known as the voice of University Challenge.

GIG and Foodie Brands combine to launch GIG Catering Services LLC

GIG, the award-winning caterer and a division of Global Infusion Group, is expanding into the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following the completion of a joint venture agreement with Foodie Brands Catering Services LLC, the Dubai-based food production and catering company.

The two catering experts have combined their respective skills and expertise to launch GIG Catering Services LLC, which will provide high-end food, beverage and hospitality services to the UAE market.

A key focus of GIG Catering Services LLC will be to provide dedicated catering and hospitality solutions to EXPO 2020, the world expo that will see more than 190 countries participate and welcome millions of visitors to Dubai from October 20th 2020 until April 10th 2021.

Aylesbury Granulation Services shortlisted for Plastics Recycling Business of the Year 2019

Local plastics recycling business, Aylesbury Granulation Services Ltd, were delighted to have been shortlisted as one of three finalists for the category of Plastics Recycling Business of the Year 2019 at the Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management Awards at the Landmark in London.

The awards, hosted by Greg Wallace of Master Chef fame, saw a range of recycling and waste management specialists come together from across the UK to applaud best practice and recognise the good work done by the finalists. The categories were judged by a panel of industry experts who all brought a broad range of experience in the sector.

The category award was won by Bywaters Limited who are a huge nationwide recycling business and who certainly deserve the accolade. However, praise was given to all finalists – it truly is a fantastic achievement to be short-listed for the award.

The judges seemed pleased that Aylesbury Granulation Services said that “plastics is not just something that we “do”, it is something that we have a passion for”.

Steve Eminton, Editor of Letsrecycle.com, the award hosts, said: “The awards bring together individuals from across the spectrum with the ultimate aim of improving sustainability all round. Climate change and the environment are high on the political agenda. And, quite rightly, there is a growing awareness of the need for environmental improvement. We all know that recycling and sustainable waste management play an important part in environmental protection and sustainable use of resources.”

Anniversary celebrations and a new office for the Association for Project Management

On the 10th anniversary of its tenure at the Prince Regent business park, the Association for Project Management (APM) - the chartered body for the project profession, held a celebratory event to mark the opening of their new integrated office space at Regent Park on Monday 20th May.

“Today is the start of a new chapter for us as we grow our headcount and commit to our future here,” said chairman John McGlynn. “It will also see our teams consolidating in one place – merging Heron place into Ibis house, expanding and updating the premises to ensure we have an office to match our aspirations. Chef James Martin visits GIG’s HQ ahead of The Game Fair 2019 collaboration

Chef and television presenter James Martin and GIG, the award-winning catering and hospitality specialist, will work together to deliver VIP dining experiences at this year’s Game Fair. The three-day festival of the great British countryside returns to Hatfield House from July 26th-28th.

Fresh from his most recent series - ‘James Martin’s Great British Adventure’ - James will be cooking for Silver, Gold and Platinum package holders exclusively within the prestigious Game Fair Enclosure. GIG’s culinary, operations and front of house teams will work alongside James to ensure the smooth delivery of the hospitality experience.

James visited GIG’s headquarters in Chesham this May for a tasting. All the dishes on the extensive menu were prepped, cooked, plated and finished and then served in a mock-up of the table settings, ensuring that every detail was perfected ahead of the event.

Bonnie May, GIG’s global operations director said: “Working alongside The Game Fair team and collaborating with a chef of James Martin’s calibre to create and deliver a fantastic VIP dining experience at this year’s event is really exciting. With our outdoor event experience, love of the countryside and passion for great produce, The Game Fair literally ticks every box. It was great to host James in our kitchen and see him in action.
