Sorbon Estates wins Commercial Landlord of the Year for second consecutive year

Beaconsfield-based Sorbon Estates has been named Commercial Landlord of the Year at the Thames Valley Property Awards 2026 ceremony on the 24th September, retaining the prestigious title for a second consecutive year.

The award recognises commercial landlords that demonstrate exceptional performance in supporting occupiers, enhancing property value and contributing to the vibrancy of the Thames Valley’s commercial property market.

Judges praised Sorbon Estates for its consistent commitment to supporting the growth and success of its occupiers, alongside its wider investment in the communities in which it operates.

The award follows a year of significant regeneration, placemaking and occupier support across the company’s regional property portfolio.

Key projects included continued investment in Waterside Quarter, Maidenhead, where destination marketing campaigns and community events helped attract visitors and support occupiers. Sorbon Estates also completed a major refurbishment of One Ludlow, Maidenhead, transforming an ageing office building into premium Grade A accommodation, and delivered a purpose-built facility for JD Gyms at Reading Link Retail Park, diversifying the park’s occupier mix.

Further investment included the redevelopment of town centre properties to create modern, flexible retail spaces that respond to occupier needs and contribute to more attractive and vibrant high streets.

Katherine Croom, Managing Director of Sorbon Estates, said:

“We are incredibly proud to have been named Commercial Landlord of the Year for the second consecutive year. This award recognises the long-term, hands-on approach we take to our properties, our occupiers and the communities in which we operate.

“We believe that being a responsible landlord means going beyond the management of buildings. It means listening to and supporting our occupiers, investing in sustainable improvements and creating places that make a positive contribution to their towns.

“Most importantly, this is a team achievement. Colleagues across estate management, finance, maintenance, projects and acquisitions work together every day to create the best possible commercial spaces for our occupiers. Without their dedication and expertise, recognition such as this would not be possible.”
