The Woodfuel Wig can save a business in woodland industries a lot of money, through their grants scheme that offers 60% of the total cost of work on a project. It also helps save the environment in many ways.
The benefits to the environment are truly staggering. Woodfuel Wig’s activities amount to savings of about 57,000 tonnes of CO2. To put this in a context that is easily understandable; - that is enough to fill Wembley Stadium 28 times, weighs the same as 4,750 double-decker buses, would fill 11,300 hot air balloons and is enough to fill 57 trillion coke cans. It is also the equivalent of taking 16,222 cars off the road for a year, and equates to a total of 146 million miles of driving, which would take you to the moon and back 304 times!
On a practical note for businesses, the main types of operations supported include roads, tracks and other infrastructure to assist the extraction of timber from woodland and woodland inventory and costs associated with managing harvesting contracts.
What we’re saying is: the Woodfuel Wig pays off, for both your business and the environment.
The Woodfuel Woodland Improvement Grant is delivered by Ngage Solutions Limited on behalf of the Forestry Commission England.
