'Tis the week to celebrate & encourage apprenticeships!

With National Apprenticeship Week in full swing, we can help you find your next workplace ace & learn about the changes to apprenticeships.

The tenth annual National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) runs from March 6th-10th and celebrates the successes of apprenticeships over the years and encourages businesses to see the benefits of taking on an apprentice.

You can keep up to date with what has happened during (NAW) here on the government website.

Stay involved on social media too with the hashtags #nationalapprenticeshipweek and #NAW2017.

Impending changes to apprenticeships

It is quite the time for the apprenticeship programme given that come April and May significant changes to the way that apprenticeships are funded and managed and the way that apprentices are trained will come into effect.

We have put together a comprehensive guide to the changes to apprenticeships, which you can download and read here >

#TalentTuesday helps businesses find their dream apprentice

The aforementioned guide isn’t the only way that we at Buckinghamshire Business First are supporting apprenticeships.

Our series of #TalentTuesday events began on Tuesday 7th March, when businesses with an apprenticeship vacancy to fill met young people hoping to be the one to fill it.

Big Gun Digital were among the employers in the room, saying “we certainly were impressed by the budding apprentices in attendance.”

The next two #TalentTuesday events take place on March 14th and March 21st.

The March 14th event is open to all employers, while the event on March 21st is open to employers in IT and Engineering.
