‘Modern Work Experience: Let's Make It Work'

On this national broadcast from the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC), you will hear senior leaders from across business, education, and local government share their vision for creating modern work experience that inspires action and drives change.

You'll hear an expert panel - chaired by Olly Newton, Executive Director of the Edge Foundation - share experiences and explore system-level challenges for ensuring all young people have access to high-quality workplace experiences throughout their education, supported by nationally integrated and locally tailored careers support.

Learn how Employer Standards can shape your future workforce

The CEC's Employer Standards provide a clear framework for businesses of all sizes to maximise the impact of their engagement with young people.

The framework of nine standards is designed to help employers evaluate and improve their careers education outreach to ensure they are inspiring young people and preparing them for successful careers.

Employers are encouraged to use an online self-assessment tool that allows them to:

• Assess their current activities
• Benchmark against sector and national averages
• Track progress over time
• Improve their outreach efforts
