Want to reduce employee sickness absence? Share your views

Do you employ people in Buckinghamshire? Buckinghamshire Council would like to hear your views on sickness absence and how to reduce it.

Employee sickness absence can be challenging for all local businesses, affecting productivity, costs, and staff wellbeing.

Buckinghamshire Council is exploring what help employers might need to support them to manage employee sickness absence and will use this information to develop a Public Health support programme for employers to:

  • Reduce preventable sickness absence
  • Support employees to stay well at work
  • Manage absence more confidently and consistently
  • Access practical, local support

Share your views on:

  • The biggest sickness absence challenges your business faces
  • What support would help you reduce sickness absence in your organisation
  • What would make an employer support offer genuinely useful to you

This might include guidance, training, practical tools, one to one advice, links to local services — or something else altogether.

Why take part?

By sharing your views, you will help create an offer that:

  • Is practical and relevant, not theoretical
  • Works for small and medium-sized businesses, not just large organisations
