The Buckinghamshire Business Expo

The big day is almost here! With over 300 businesses booked to attend, make sure you’re ready to take advantage of this golden opportunity!

Buckinghamshire Business Festival

The Expo is part of the Buckinghamshire Business Festival running from March 2nd-13th. If you haven’t done so yet, check out the rest of the Festival events schedule and book onto one or more of the great events.

Business Support Zone

As well as all of the businesses in attendance who are waiting in anticipation to get networking, there is also the Business Support Zone which will be full of support organisations and programmes, such as:

The Expo App

This year, we have the Buckinghamshire Business Expo App to make it easier to keep track of all the people you meet on the day and to check out all the businesses in attendance. There will be prizes on offer throughout the day for the most active networkers.

Using an App rather than printed exhibitor guides also means we cut down on waste!

If you’ve already booked as an exhibitor or visitor, you would have received an email with instruction for how to download the App, but we’ve noted them down here too:

How to download log on to the App:

• Open the App Store or Google Play Store on your device.
• Search for Buckinghamshire Business Expo.
• Download the App to your device.
• Open the App.
• After the App has loaded, please tap the ‘Register for this App’ button.
• On the new screen, fill out your details to register and login.
• After you have logged in, you will see your Profile.
• Fill out your Profile, including the Goals section and the About You section.
• When you have finished, tap the ‘Done’ button on the top right-hand corner and you will be taken to the home screen of the App.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

While the Expo is an exciting and rewarding experience for all involved, we are also taking account of the reality of the Coronavirus outbreak and its potential spread and impact.

To that end, we are asking anyone who has returned from a Category 1 area, as detailed on the gov.uk website, to reconsider their attendance at the Expo.

There will also be a no-handshake policy on the day.

We thank you for your support in keeping our team and guests safe and free from infection.

Making the Expo a waste-free zone

We’re working hard to try and make the Expo as carbon neutral as possible as work towards a #NetZeroBucks, so please take a moment to think about how you can contribute to that.

• Bring your own refillable water bottle
• Lift-share if this is possible with colleagues or friends

You should also visit the #NetZeroBucks zone whilst you’re at the Expo to get inspiration and advice on ways you can reduce energy and cut carbon emissions.

As well an App that reduces paper waste, we have taken several other measures to ensure that we reduce waste as much as possible at the Expo, including:

• The Expo lanyards are made from recycled bottles and recycled iron. Carbon offsets have been used for the impact of freight travel
• The new Buckinghamshire Business First pens are 100% biodegradable
• The cups we have ordered can be used for hot or cold drinks and are intended to reduce the use of single use plastics
