Sponsor in the Spotlight
Without the Buckinghamshire Business Awards sponsors, the event really wouldn’t take place. So it is with pleasure that we highlight the next two sponsors in our regular series in the run-up to the big night.
Thomas International – sponsors of Business Leader of the Year
Ciaran Morton, UK Managing Director of Thomas International
“The cornerstone of every successful business is an effective leader who encourages innovation, transparency, empowerment and expertise. As a global company that has kept its roots in supporting local economies, an important component of Thomas International’s work is with leaders, providing them with the right tools and solutions to make confident decisions to develop and engage their people, teams and culture.
“The award for Business Leader of the Year recognises the personal imprint of Buckinghamshire’s most high profile leaders on the culture and success of their organisations. Focusing on their achievements over the past 18 months and the course of their careers, we were excited to discover and meet a variety of different but exemplary leaders whose philosophies have transformed their businesses and engaged with and impacted their respective markets.
“The Buckinghamshire Business Awards is a highly anticipated event in the local business calendar and, as both a previous winner and award sponsor, Thomas International recognises the importance of the awards. We are hugely proud to once again be involved and look forward to celebrating with the best in Buckinghamshire on Friday 30th June.”
Buckinghamshire Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) – sponsors of Growth Business of the Year
Ian Barham, Buckinghamshire Thames Valley LEP Partnership Manager
“Buckinghamshire Thames Valley LEP are delighted to be sponsoring the Growth Business of the Year category. Buckinghamshire has for a long time been recognised as the Entrepreneurial Heart of Britain, with more businesses starting here than almost anywhere else in the country. We want to help those new businesses grow, flourish and create new jobs here in Buckinghamshire.
“In this category we are looking to celebrate those fast growing businesses, or scale-ups, that have spotted a new opportunity and have acted upon it in order to take themselves to the next level in terms of size or profitability, or who have branched out into new territories or started delivering new products or services.
“Through the judging process we have seen some truly exceptional businesses that are growing swiftly due to a mixture of excellent customer service, innovative products and a readiness to explore new markets. We believe that the shortlist for this category includes three Buckinghamshire businesses that are really going places.”
Shopper Anonymous – Mystery Shopper for the Excellence in Customer Service Award and the Leisure, Tourism & Hospitality Business of the Year Award
