Manufacturers and engineering businesses can access emerging digital talent through the Made Smarter South East Digital Internship Programme, helping them explore new technologies and accelerate innovation projects.
The programme connects businesses with undergraduate students, postgraduates and recent graduates who can support digital transformation projects involving areas such as automation, robotics, data analytics, digital systems and process improvement.
Interns work on real business challenges, providing organisations with access to fresh ideas and specialist skills while gaining valuable industry experience themselves. Each placement consists of 300 paid hours and can be delivered flexibly around study commitments.
The internship programme forms part of the wider Made Smarter South East offer, which also includes leadership training, workforce development support and grants to help manufacturers adopt new technologies.
