Yesterday, The Sunday Times published its annual Schools Guide showing the top state and secondary schools in the country, and Buckinghamshire performed very well indeed.
10 state secondary schools were ranked in the top 100 in the country:
#34 – Dr Challoner’s High School
#37 – Beaconsfield High School
#40 – Dr Challoner’s Grammar School
#48 – Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School
#52 – Aylesbury High School
#54 – Wycombe High School
#74 – Royal Latin School
#75 – Aylesbury Grammar School
#87 – The Royal Grammar School
#92 – Chesham Grammar
#113 – John Hampden Grammar School
#153 – Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School
#387 – Waddesdon CofE School
Meanwhile Wycombe Abbey School ranked 2nd in the whole country in the independent secondary schools league table, with a further four schools ranked in the top 300:

#117 – St Mary’s School
#225 – St Dominic’s Priory School
#264 – Pipers Corner School
#280 – Stowe School
