Long live the entrepreneurial spirit in Buckinghamshire!

From the 16-22 November, Global Entrepreneurship Week shines the spotlight on and inspires budding entrepreneurs through local, national and global activities.

Designed to help individuals explore their potential as self-starters and innovators, activities have had to adapt to the current climate. They range from competitions and online support to virtual networking events. The idea is to introduce a new generation of entrepreneurs to new possibilities and exciting opportunities and give them the practical help to get started. For more information visit: https://www.genglobal.org/uk

There is plenty of free local and national support too. More businesses start in Buckinghamshire than almost anywhere else in the country, and we make it our business to support each of them on their journey.

  • Buckinghamshire has the 2nd highest proportion of workers who are self-employed of all 38 LEP areas
  • Buckinghamshire has higher than average business start-up and survival rates
  • Of all businesses starting up in Bucks in 2015, 59% were still operating 3 years later, compared to the national average of 55%

You can find all the advice you need to get your business idea off the ground in our dedicated Start-up area here, and if you are still at the ideas stage, become a start-up member for free!
