Focus on Leadership Skills – Thursday 8th February 2018

A business owner often wears many hats during the start-up phase of their business, performing most of the tasks associated with it. Now that your business has grown and you have taken on employees, it is time to focus on your vision and strategy.

The most common mistake made by people trying to grow their business is spending too much time working in their business and not on it. This highly interactive workshop will look at how you can:

  • Successfully transition from hands-on management to leading and directing your business forward
  • Develop the leadership skills that empower your managers to successfully take on responsibility

Motivating Team Performance – Tuesday 27th February 2018

As a business owner, you are self-motivated and are usually working flat out. But what would motivate others in your business to perform at your level? Who inspires them to offer that extra effort and commitment?

At this workshop you will:

Understand what motivates and de-motivates us and explore how our personalities impact on our performance as much as on others’
Learn a pragmatic and practical way to quickly identify your personality type and those around you - adopting the skills required to motivate and influence them
Practice new motivational skills with real-time challenges that give you new insights into how millennials behave, as well as your "lifers"

Difficult Decisions in the Workplace – Thursday 8th March 2018

This event will help give you the tools to tackle difficult conversations and decisions in the workplace, including:

  • Managing upwards
  • Personnel issues e.g. grievances - harassment, bullying, inconsistency, victimisation
  • Sickness and absence
  • Having the great idea and positioning it so you will be heard
  • Disciplinary

You will leave with increased confidence and the ability to identify causal issues rather than the superficial and obvious moments of concern.

Coaching for Performance Skills – Tuesday 13th March 2018

Discover how by 'coaching' rather than 'instructing' you can improve the performance of your team. When a small business wants to grow, the culture of a leader 'pushing and telling' everyone what to do and when must change. It is recognised that the highest performing culture is a 'coaching culture' that encourages individuals and teams to take responsibility and feel empowered to make decisions.

In this workshop you will:

  • Understand what coaching is and is not, and when it works for your business
  • Learn the industries’ proven coaching model, and how to adopt it to get results
  • Practice a coaching approach for your real-time challenges with a qualified coach
  • Explore how coaching can keep the "monkey off your back" by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility
