Bucks Business Awards 2022 sponsors - spotlight on University of Buckingham

It's less than one week until the Buckinghamshire Business Awards Ceremony 2022 - back at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury for the first in-person Awards Ceremony since 2019.

In the build-up to the ceremony on September 28th, we are shining a light on each of our valued Awards Sponsors, without whom these awards would not be possible.

Putting our Awards Sponsors in the spotlight

Here, we focus on the sponsors of the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the University of Buckingham, which offers business hot-desking space, meeting rooms and more at The Vinson Building.

We spoke with the team for their thoughts on sponsoring the Buckinghamshire Business Awards.

What does it mean to The University of Buckingham to be involved with the Buckinghamshire Business Awards 2022?

"We are incredibly proud to be sponsoring these particular awards as we champion enterprise and entrepreneurship in all its forms at the University of Buckingham.

"We hope by being part of these awards we will strengthen our ties with businesses from across Buckinghamshire - the beating heart of entrepreneurship within the UK."

This the second year running that you’ve sponsored the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Why does this particular award mean so much to you?

"This award category is all about celebrating the success of those who dared to start and run their own business. This is no small feat, and one we understand very well at the university where we run degrees which teach young people to think and act in an entrepreneurial way.

"We want to support as many entrepreneurs as we can and were so impressed by the entrants for this award during our first year of sponsorship that we couldn't wait to be involved again!"

What have you admired about young entrepreneurs in Buckinghamshire throughout the last two years, given the resilience they have had to show?

"Entrepreneurship is all about persistence and resilience. During the past two years, the pandemic has created an opportunity for Buckinghamshire's young entrepreneurs to show that they can turn adversity into an opportunity for creativity and invention.

"Young entrepreneurs - indeed all entrepreneurs - will play an important role in this country's future economic recovery."
