Buckinghamshire Business First taking space at Buckinghamshire New University

We have moved into our new office at Buckinghamshire New University, and can reveal that the new Business Hub will open on October 22nd.

Our team have settled in and are enjoying the new office. We are all cracking on as usual in support of all of our members.

The new premises are located in the ‘West Wing’ of the University’s High Wycombe Campus, a site that benefits from the vibrancy, innovation and access to talent that the University provides.

When does the Business Hub open?

The new Buckinghamshire Business First Business Hub in High Wycombe will open on Monday October 22nd and there will be an official launch event at our AGM on November 22nd for businesses and partners to learn more about how to benefit from the space.

We look forward to welcoming businesses to our new Hub and supporting them in their efforts to grow and thrive in the Entrepreneurial Heart of Britain!

What features does the Business Hub consist of?

The Business Hub, which is co-sponsored by the Institute of Directors, features:

  • A hot-desk area with free Wi-Fi
  • Bookable meeting room (seats 8) equipped with a SMART board and projector
  • Bookable meeting pod (seats 4) equipped with a presentation screen for conference calls and presentations
  • Break-out space for informal meetings
  • Easy access to refreshments on site

Why use the Hub?

The Hub is the perfect place for a variety of business needs, from those who work from home who need a more formal setting to meet clients or hold team meetings, to those passing by who need desk space or to meet someone informally for a chat.

Booking meeting rooms

You can now book a meeting room or pod online. Remember that all members get four hours of free meeting space per year and can receive up to 20 hours of meeting space by upgrading.

Buckinghamshire Business First members can also take advantage of a 10% discount on Buckinghamshire New University meeting rooms and event space at all of their locations throughout the county. Alternative business hub space across the county

If you need more meeting or hot-desking space elsewhere in the county, there is plenty available to suit all needs.

Point of Difference Workspace has a site in Market Square in Aylesbury that can cater for everyone from those looking to hot-desk to those looking for office space for up to 20 people. A Wi-Fi-enabled meeting room is also available on site.

Strengthening local ties

Buckinghamshire Business First is the Growth Hub for the county and taking up space in Buckinghamshire New University strengthens already robust ties between the local business community and local education providers. In tandem with partners at Buckinghamshire Thames Valley Local Enterprise Partnership and the Buckinghamshire Skills Hub, Buckinghamshire Business First has long promoted the need for engagement and collaboration between business and education and the move to Buckinghamshire New University brings all parties into a strong alliance to support young people, skills development and business development.

To ensure the High Wycombe Hub is an inspirational workspace for local businesses to meet, work and do business in, we have collaborated with Bledlow-based creative design agency Design Difference, winners of the Buckinghamshire Business Awards Small Business of the Year 2018.
